Professor Richard Dawkins
Professor Richard Dawkins is a brilliant man and one of the few human beings with a voice in the media that I actually admire. Tonight on Channel 4 was the first of his two part ‘The Enemies of Reason’ a fantastic and intelligent attack on superstition, spirituality and new age bunkum.
His attack on the conspiracies theorists was a delight and I hope the bloke who tried to hand me a copy of some DVD about the 9/11 conspiracy was watching and embarrassed by his own delusions. In fact, most of the people I know probably found what Prof Dawkins had to say hard to swallow, why? Because of their mistrust in science and a misplaced belief in…. spirituality and new age bunkum.
I know that is why when everyone else was off trying to get in touch with Gaia after dropping LSD I was think about the reality of what the chemicals were doing to my brain and nerve endings but my scientific enjoyment of drugs is always lost in the noise of all those who believe their experiences on drugs have some sort of spiritual significance.

Heroes
So after all the hype and a long wait before it was screened on BBC2, what do I think? I was expecting to see the same old stuff, maybe on the level of a show like Charmed. How wrong I can be, Heroes is with out a doubt one of the best things to hit the TV in years. By the end of the first show I knew I was hooked and now I cant get enough of it, it’s all I can do to stop myself from spoiling everything by reading what’s going to happen in the forums.
I don’t really have a favorite character as I love them all but if I had to choose I think we can all guess who it would be, Hiro but then Niki/Jessica is very interesting and I really like …. You get the idea.
