The W.H.O at the Tramshed

The Woolwich Tramshed is probably best known for some of the comics that have played there; Jasper Carrot, Hail & Pace and Harry Hill but it was also, at times, an excellent music venue. The Weird Happenings Organization (W.H.O) played the Tramshed on many occasions to good crowds of local Freeks and students from near by Thames Poly (now Greenwich uni). The W.H.O played with loads of bands at the Tramshed, some of the best being; The Brain of Morbius, Mother Gong, Fear of Fear to name but a few. A huge crowd turned out for the W.H.O gig played on the night of the day I got let out of H.M.P Northeye, a most memorable night and I’m not talking about playing the gig. There are no more gigs at the Tramshed, these days it’s a dance center.
